: is there any way to get the recent topics back up to the
: top of the page, where they belong? :D
I am working on a "Rampancy Classic" theme that will be more like the old page-- recent forum threads in two boxes on the top, and the items currently in the horizontal menu at the top and bottom in a slim menu on the left, with no other newsfeed boxes or anything else.
It requires more modifications to the system than the other themes (Rampancy, Rampancy Left and Rampancy Right) did because it's a bigger departure-- nearly the entire system is built around the concept of horizontal headers and footers with non-modifiable content, then customizable content in 1-3 vertical columns in the main area between them.
I'm hoping I'll have it done by tomorrow, or Monday the latest.
I'll pre-order it from somewhere, I'm just not sure where. I would buy it from right here like I buy everything else except that Amazon makes no mention of it working with Macs.
: Who of you guys are preordering Myth III? From where? For
: what platform?
:
Yes, although I'll have to wait until I'm back in North America to get it, probably this December sometime.
Normally I prefer the ritual of buying at a retailer and driving home with the shiny new box in my hands (well, literally speaking my hands would be on the steering wheel). Although that's a bit inconvenient as there are no good software shops near me -- closest is maybe 20 minutes away, and for a really popular release I may have to go to ones that are an hour or more away. Never ceases to amaze me that I'm right by a university in the heart of Silicon Valley and no store around here appears to be interested in selling the latest computer games on release day.

not pre-order, cause it's almost too late for that :-)
I'd buy it from store, but the nearest is an 80 minute drive, but it's guaranteed to be at some store after that drive, Portland is a fair size city.
I have the same problem, Jonny. no one in this town wants to stock new games either...but then 95% of the people here think micro chips are the little pieces at the bottom of a bag of chips...
I emailed them and they confirmed they are still shipping, though they obviousely had to push back the shipping date from late October which is what it was projected as originally. I pre-ordered my copy for $29.95 though now they have the price listed as $39.95. I had them confirm the price for me for my order... so maybe if you pre-order now you have to pay a higher price ::shrug::
Maybe this will help some of you out there still looking for a goof reliablr source to pre-order for Mac.
I've actually heard some not-so-good things about Chips & Bits and I'm sure they will charge $39.95 for new orders. Still looks like the best bet for non-IMG subscribers is to simply buy it retail.
Is there a chain store that anybody knows of that will let you preorder for Mac? I don't have a credit card, and I checked those CompUSA assholes but they're not letting me preorder.
: What I mean is, I don't want to order from the Internet.
I think the only place to pre-order is from an online source... well, for Mac userz like us anyway.
Pee Cee'rs have the option of pre-orders through EB, but the majority of all pre-orders are probably online. I haven't seen any Mac retailer offering a Myth 3 pre-order that wasn't through an online source. In fact so far I've only heard of two online sources offering Mac pre-orders.

I've downloaded it and have listened to 13 of the MP3s and so far I think it's pretty damn good. It's as good (if not better) than Total Audio's efforts and I'm definitely satisfied. What about you guys?
Maybe it will be better in the game context, but Myth: Total Soundtrack is really enjoyable alone, unlike the M3 soundtrack. Well, at least i didn't pay for it.
I know that's pretty hard on the composer's back, but I just could'nt listen to it all yesterday night. It's was so... "disounding" and "hard broken sound". I know they wanted it to be more tribal... but those are my feelings.
