Way back, so far back I can't even remember when, somebody (probably Louis) cracked a joke about Bungie doing Grunt plushy toys. It never happened. But now... it just might.

The angryzenmaster gives a lesson in physics today, explaining angular momentum and magic numbers and how they can be used to launch the Master Chief into the air. What I want to know is how this forces the player below the mesh...

HBO has posted The Rules to the Great Halo Scavenger Hunt, the winner(s) of which will be literally drowned in miscellaneous Bungie gear. The keys to the whole things are trinkets: two kinds, Instant Win (IW) trinkets, and clue trinkets (ten of them) that lead to the solution of the whole thing... somehow.

Don't ask us. We don't know. Really. But if you're looking for advice, look farther afield.

ON-X (and a bit later, Jimmy T) pointed out in the HBO Forum that the PC Halo CD contains a PDF file with a preview of the upcoming Halo novel, Halo: First Strike. This book is supposed to cover the period of time between Halo and Halo 2.

OK, since we hardly ever update around here these days, maybe this will slip by and no one will notice. Maybe not.

Anyway, this has to be about the strangest Halo reference we've ever seen. And before anybody complains, the text and images in this story we're about to link to are of a decidedly sexual, some might say odd-- nature. So be forewarned.
