GameSpot has a story up about a survey conducted by Greensfield Online. Apparently it contained some questions for consumers about concepts for new Microsoft products. One such product was an Xbox connection kit, which would let Xbox owners connect their systems to a PC for the purpose of accessing MP3s and other files. We noticed over on HBO that there's a powerpoint file from the presentation on Halo's AI given by Jaime Case Griesemer and Chris Butcher at the Game Developers Conference. You can get the file from the GDCon site or from our own local copy. The file is a little over 14 Mb.

There has been an awful lot of talk about playing Xbox (and other console) titles on a VGA monitor. So, to save you the trouble I've rounded up at least three solutions which may please you... even if little Timmy may not be able to get his braces this month. Funny how these things have a way of adding up, idn't it? ;-)
Or.... some would say that you could just wait for the Mac/PC version to get VGA play. Maybe, but can they avoid being spoiled to death before that time? ;-)
Version 1.081 of XboxGW is now available for download at Xboxgw.com. The Linux, OS X and Win32 ports are still in progress.
The documentation are of the site doesn't have new content for this version yet, so we don't know what has changed.
Someone named bunnie has apparently already taken Xbox hacking a step further than anyone else so far. He removed the box's surface-mounted BIOS chip and installed a socket so that he could replace it with a standard PC BIOS chip.
Then, he downloaded the contents of the Xbox's BIOS chip and posted them on his web site, along with pictures and instructions on how he did it.

Ferrex pointed out at RHL that there is now a site purporting to have an Xbox Gateway program available for download.
It's a Linux boot disk set that sets up an ethernet bridge-like system that can be used to connect Xbox consoles remotely over the Internet for playing so-called System Link games that can be played on LAN.
