Several major websites reported earlier this month Bungie's revelation that Halo 2 would not be released in time for the 2003 holidays as many had expected. The news even went as far as major mainstream sites such as Reuters and BBC News.

c0ld vengeance has given us his plan for how to handle Halo 2 when it comes out, and entitled it Halo 2: A Bachelor's Guide . We might actually try this; although, to be honest, this is only a slightly formalized version of an average weekend.

Matt has returned to the HBO forum to disabuse the usual suspects of their delusion about release dates from Electronics Boutique.

Only a few weeks after the announcement, already the clamor is beginning for more information on Halo 2.

theRanger sent us word that TeamXbox has a new Halo 2 preview up that features some of the newly released screenshots.

GameSpot has posted a whole batch of new Halo 2 screenshots. Some appear to be screenshots from the Halo 2 trailer, but there are also quite a few totally new ones. You'll see some nice captures of the Warthog and Master Chief (still no action shots).

Halo 2 and other future Bungie titles to make it past the Xbox to the Mac and/or PC?

Could be.

In a preview of sorts, Gamesradar has released a medium-sized article revealing some tantalizing Halo 2 facts, quotes, and screens. More is available if you grab a copy of Edge Magazine's latest issue (lots more), but this serves as a pleasant interlude if you don't bother hitting the news stands.
