Not directly Halo related, but of interest to Mac Halo fans. Accelerate Your Mac reports that 3Dfx has finally released their Macintosh Voodoo3 Reference drivers for public consumption. Only beta versions, mind you, but beta versions that have been giving some awesome benchmarks already. Definitely worth checking out if you've yet to invest in a hardware acceleration card, which Halo will eventually be requiring...
Oh, the humanity! Details are sketchy at this point, but all indications point towards a brutal attack upon Bungie headquarters in Chicago by a depraved band of cannibals. Yes, the human type.
A few folks have written in regarding the Mac Observer movie, and the verdict appears to be in. Despite a few glitches (like people walking in front of the camera) and reportedly poor color quality, the resolution is much better.

I'd like to take this moment to coin the acronym YAHM, for the express purpose of reporting this sort of item. IMG reports that The Mac Observer has posted a reportedly higher quality version of the MWNY Halo demo, which they claim is superior to the Gamespot version currently floating around (in it's many reincarnations).
Currently at 183 votes, this week's poll will be closing tomorrow evening, hopefully with 200 votes in it. It'll be a close one right to the finish, to be sure... if you haven't yet, get your vote in now.
Watch for the dissection of the results (and some discussion about them) around this time tomorrow night. Might just have something interesting to talk about...

Though various issues have been really stirring up the water in the Myth community, the Halo front remains fairly quiet. Nearly two weeks since the launch (incredible that we're still running on that infusion of news), and still no new screenshots or sign of the rumored official trailer. Lean pickings until then, I'm afraid...
