Quickie b.net Update
While it appears to many that Bungie's webservers and the bungie.net metaserver are still down, halo.bungie.org's Louis Wu shines a bit of light on the problem:

While it appears to many that Bungie's webservers and the bungie.net metaserver are still down, halo.bungie.org's Louis Wu shines a bit of light on the problem:
This is my fault, folks. In an earlier news post, I optimistically predicted that there would be no shortage of games on bungie.net tonight. And old man Murphy, taking exception to this, has apparently intervened.
Apparently, many people are experiencing connection problems, and are unable to reach bungie.net. The server appears to be up, though... one or two people on RHL were able to log in without difficulty. However, substantially more were not... this could be a result of the frenzy of activity following the full reset today.
Noct has delivered! A fairly large scan, but very true to the image in the magazine, this image from the July issue of Incite magazine gives us the best look yet at the picture that graced Bungie's E3 booth.
Noctavis, who is slaving over a hot scanner as we speak, has happened upon a Halo item in the July issue of IncitePC magazine. Consisting of a shot of the E3 banner and a quick blurb about the game, it doesn't contain much in the way of new information, but we should have that scan posted as soon as possible. Stay tuned...
That's right! The Myth II b.net server has, as of this morning, been fully reset, allegedly in celebration of Mordia's birthday. Not just three games, all of the games, which means everyone is starting out with a clean slate. The mood is surprisingly positive... doubtless due to that fact that an emp is now 70 points, not 400.
Nevertheless, some people are a bit irate. There are 24 permutations of OMFG , and I think I've seen 19 of them now... need to go back and finish my collection. No shortage of games to be had tonight, that's for sure.
Kudos to Madrigal, who pointed out that the MWC 2000 tournament has closed registration after only a few days, having reached their limit of 96 teams. Shamelessly snipped from their Entry page:
Team registration for Myth World Cup has reached its 96 team limit. Team registration is now closed. Please tune in to our news page and our forum for important information about last minute openings on the team roster. Openings may be offered if any registered teams are determined to be ineligible.
A week or so ago we found some new MP3 files that had been uploaded to RHL. They had some curious names and so after getting permission from Power of Seven, pestering some Bungie employees and some covert investigation it appears that they've been on the Mac Action Sack all along. Somehow they never made it to the public. At least... not as far as we've been aware. Therefore, we'd like to pop these up for your listening pleasure.
Well Rounded Entertainment have released their awards for the best games of E3, and Halo's reviewed and listed as a runner-up for Best Action Game. Why didn't it make 1st place? The complaints are familiar ones by now:
Mojo dropped me a little teaser a few minutes ago: You've got a suprise in for you tonight. Well, after a quick surf over to ye olde Halam site I found out that he's revitalized it and plans to keep some funky Halo coverage going for at least the Summer. Halam was one of the very first Blam! sites, along with Blam.Bungie.Org (now HBO) and The Core (now R.net). We welcome Halam back into the pantheon of Halo fan sites. ;-)
Kudos to Ned Hamfist, who passed along a PR regarding the interesting Magma project to convert Myth II maps back to the Myth I engine (quite an impressive accomplishment, actually). A hefty chunk of the letter for you to chew on:
