Don't Make Bungie Kick Your Ass
The site isn't loading for us here at R.net headquarters at the moment, but it's been mentioned both at HBO and now at TeamXbox that the Halo manual includes a reference to the following URL: http://www.seventhcolumn.org.
We haven't seen it yet, but apparently that URL was displaying a numeral 7 and Don't make us kick your ass in Latin (NON FACETE NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRVM PERINÆVM).
Oddworld Demo Included On Halo Disc
TeamXbox is reporting that there's a demo of Oddworld on the Halo game disc; another benefit of using DVDs for storage.
EBGames Taking 'Second Wave' Xbox Preorders
TeamXbox has noted that EBGames.com is once again accepting Xbox preorders; but these orders are expected to ship on November 19th, and not on the official launch date of November 15.
Green Berets Gets A Bad Review
Blambi at MythVillage spotted a review of Green Berets, the Myth 2 engine RTS game, over at The Mushroom. They found it to be more or less an exercise in frustration, citing the computer's unwavering accuracy, constant respawning of enemies, and the need for micromanagement:
PlanetXbox Gets Their Hands On Halo
Louis Wu at HBO noted that PlanetXbox has posted a hands-on review of Halo. They were particularly impressed by the size and detail of Halo's environments:
New Halo Screenshots At Voodoo Extreme
Head over and check out Voodoo Extreme's five Halo screenshots. These are some really pretty in-game shots, probably some of the best we have seen. You'll see a couple shots of the Warthog and the marine, as well as Halo's beautiful scenery.
Halo Manual Scans
HBO has linked to a mirror of Final Solution's scans of the Halo manual. The mirror, setup by Kbjlake, lets you download the images one by one or you can download a 3.6 MB ZIP containing all of the scans.
