First off, Matt just marked his seventh year, seventh month and seventh day at Bungie; yes, it's Matt's Bungieversary; he posted it himself at Bungie.net.
And seemingly as gift on this occasion to the ranks of rabid Halofen, he's offered a few words of encouragement in the HBO forum. In response to demands that the Halo Updates be resurrected for Halo 2, he said:
... then don't confuse one for the other. That's part of the excellent advice in an article penned by Jaime Case Griesemer entitled Be A Game Designer 101 and posted at Bungie.net.
BG:H updated today with the news on Halo 2; looks like they might (also) be getting more active. Also, in the process of cruising the BG:H forum threads, amidst the arguments about whether or not Halo 1.5 does or will exist (silly rabbit, Halo tricks are for Louis) we came across DarkHelmet.org, which has some interesting Halo content, and had heretofore escaped inclusion in our links page.
It seems another Myth site has shut down. The Myth Tournies site, which used to be hosted at www.clanger.com, is now a page advertising the services of of Netster, whatever that is.
Michael Johnson of Monsters At Play has written a review of Halo's Original Soundtrack. It was one of the elements of the game he enjoyed the most. He felt it deserved a review of its own; and quite a positive review it is:
A story at Xbox365 this morning says that a company called Focus Enhancements in California has unveiled a new, cheaper video chip for the Xbox, which will be used in a new motherboard design. The chip converts video into TV-friendly formats.
Although he admits they aren't producing any new material, Gastropod did poke out of his shell long enough to let us know that Creation isn't dead; it's merely at a new address.

Bungie.net has posted information on a new Halo tournament in Florida. This one is special because it has a lower age limit than the Halo National Tournament; it's for players between the ages of 10 and 17. The rules are similar to those of the HNC but without an elimination round.
