Ok everybody, most blogs are about the relations to the bible. There are also an alarming amount of relations to Greek stuff too. Here is a list:
Chi (as in Chi Ceti from the books) is a Greek Letter
Tau (as in Tau Ceti from the books) is a Greek Letter
Marathon-class cruisers (marathon was a popular greek sport)
Halycon-class cruisers (from a myth about a woman named Halycone)
Spartans were ferocious Greek warriors
The MAC-Gun Platform Athens was taking position over the Greek capital of Athens
This is all I have so far. Please tell me if you find more.

Marathon became a greek sport in the tradition of the battle of Marathon that took place in the persian wars.
Sparta was a greek state in which boys were raised from birth to be warriors, it was a military utopia. This parallels MCs upbringing to be nothing but a soldier.

They're just Greek numbers; fairly common in a lot of fiction to use them. There are many substantive and thematic connections to Greek myth and lore in both Marathon and Halo, but this isn't really one of them-- or at least not as strong a one as most others.

I have some more.
Tartarus - a greek deity of the underworld.
The bibliotheca - Never heard of it? It is known in english as the "library". This was a level in the original Halo where the Index is located.(At least I think so?). The index tells everything about the Halo ring. Well the Library in greek told everything about Greek myths.
The flood - The greek had many great flood myths. One is The Deucalion legend, which bares similary to Noah's ark.
As someone else mentioned Oracles where preistess who can see into the future. The most common place for to find these Oracles was Delphi. Everyone all over greece came to Delphi looking for answers. The Oracles in Halo seem to point to the Ark for the answers, so you have a little similarty between delphi and the ark.
First record of Mombasa was recorded by greek explorer Diogenes. Ptolemy who is also greek is famous for recording the whole Kenya Coast This is probally a coincedence.
The Battle of Thermopylae - In this battle the greeks took on the persains vastly outnumbered against all odds. In halo the human are taking on the convenate against all odds. Evidence to support this influenced some of Halo's story: In the halo books the SPARTANs were told of the Battle of Thermopylae, also in the Halo 2 soundtrack the last song finale the name of the tune is Thermopylae Soon. I got this from halo 2 soundtrack wiki.
Elysium is where Master Chief Grew up. In Greek Mythology Elysium is where the mortals go to become Immortal.
The AI Deja (from the Halo books) chose the appearance of a greek goddess.
As many have known Bungie loves to use the number seven. And many use the bible for their inspiration. Which very well might be true. However, the Greek also admired the number 7.
1. the seven sages - Equivalent to the seven wise men.
2. The seven wonders of the world - Was written by a greek poet and writer.
3. Seven is thought of to be the symbol of the virgin.
