Whenever you see a sign that warns of danger if you push a button, you can bet you're supposed to push it. The Vidmaster's Oath, from Bungie's Marathon days, actually required players to "push all buttons". There's rarely a button in any of Bungie's games that you're not supposed to push.

After eight years doing Damage and Spin and donning the Online Asbestos Suit for Bungie, Community Guy and Keeper of the Bungie Way Matt Soell has decided to leave Bungie. Friday, April 25, 2003, was his last day. He wrote about his decision in the HBO forum:

Sharp-eyed reader Phil Maurer pointed out to us a screenshot of the upcoming LucasArts game RTX Red Rock, hosted over at GameSpy. Look closely and you'll see that the bespectacled character there has what appears to be an upside-down Marathon logo on his chest. RTX Red Rock is, ironically, a third person shooter-- just as Halo was originally intended to be.
