Back to the nooz! Caught tonight at HBO was a thread started by a reader who wanted to know what the minimum modem connection speed will be for Halo. Matt Soell of Bungie posted the following reply:
With the caveat that we haven't tested Halo netplay on anything but our internal LAN, so nothing I say about this can be absolutely certain:I suspect 56K modems will be the way to go for those who are dialing in.

Kudos to mad.max, who (with much sweat and blood) tracked down and transcribed portions of the Halo preview in PCGamer UK that we less fortunate North Americans might have a peek at it. A few highlights provided for us from the article:
Kudos to Freewill for noticing a few questions that were asked and then apparently answered by Bungie at the German is this old news? New Halo info
The guys at Haloplayers report that PCGamer UK issue out today has some interesting information in it, but only a single new screenshot. A bit of a letdown, but with E3 mere days from now, we're certain to have plenty of screens and info to make up for it. Stay tuned...
Yeah, yeah... don't complain too much. It'd be worse if Halo weren't in polls at all, right? It's just proof that some people out there recognize Halo's potential to take a serious bite out of the world's gaming community. Halo ownzed a good portion of last year's E3, and I fully expect for it to again. 'Nuff rantin'... let's get on with the polls!
Seen at Marathon's Story is an interesting item. Hamish reports that a person close to Bungie, only known as "FreeSpirit", told him to keep a wary eye out on May 15th for new information. Today, an avid reader named Sarwat Khan connected the 15th with Apple's WWDC 2000.
Joining the fray of sites trying to get into action with E3, Battleground: Halo has launched their own little E3 subsite with some ambitious goals. They'll be competing against numerous other sites, including ourselves, for Halo news. Stop by and check them out.
