Quite the storm of controversy raised by the screenshots unveiled yesterday by Gamecenter's Halo preview. Given the differences in these screenshots and older ones, many people were skeptical, believing them to be hoaxes. However, an unnamed source had this to say:
My bad... in the rush to post and wolf down dinner simultaneously, I forgot to link to the PS2 port discussion thread kicked off by Pfhor. Have any thoughts on the prospect of Halo on the PS2, or any guesses as to the two new games hinted at in that article? Well, let's have em! Vee have vays to make you talk...
As posted by Pfhor in the forum, ps2.ign.com is reporting even more rumors and speculation that Rockstar will be porting not only Oni to the PS2, but Halo as well. An excerpt:
Must visit alert! Big kudos go to SpacemanSpiff and Tsao, both of whom pointed out some radically new Halo screenshots at Gamecenter. Indeed, they are so different that one wonders if this is actually Halo we're looking at. Restyled marines and aliens feature in the screenshots, and the article is a must read too.
Matt has posted to the HBO forum on a couple of topics today. First of all, he let us know that we might later expect some beautiful new Halo footage to come from Bungie playing with nVidia's newly announced GeForce2GTS. He then promises more footage that may not be nVidia-related in the near future.
That's right. We've got the movie that up 'till now only a relatively limited portion of the Halo community has been able to see! GameStar magazine generously gave us permission to pop up both their Halo footage and an English translation of the Halo preview from their May 2000 issue. We're still working on that translation but wanted to let you see this as soon as we could.
Seen first at Haloplayers, Total Halo has conducted an interview with Sphere and Prison guy. It's a glimpse into how two gaming groups in the pre-release Halo community are approaching different matters. Take a look!
As noted by HBO, Death Adder is putting out the help wanted sign at Halothon. If you think you've got some talent, then stop by to apply! Halothon also recently launched a hotline server at 24.4.200.20.
