I just got the June issue of PC Gamer (The US edition) yesterday and it includes a feature article that previews several games that are guaranteed to renew your passion for gaming this coming year.
Halo is curiously absent from this listing, but so are Tribes and TeamFortress 2. I suppose that these are more obvious and that PCG could have wanted to give other games a chance for some coverage. However, the game C&C: Renegades has a little sub-section. I found one paragraph somewhat interesting:
This is the first chance to get up close and personal with the C&C universe. Using a 3D third-person perspective and a brand new engine that is set to challenge Bungie's Halo, Renegade lets you sneak through NOD strongholds (modeled from the buildings in the RTS game), pilot Orca attack craft and even steal and commandeer NOD vehicles like the attack buggy.
Of additional note is that this issue includes a two-page Daily Radar (The people who maintain the PCG website) advertisement using Oni's Konoko as its model. The caption is Games. Girls. Gore. This makes one wonder if perhaps some of the PC Accelerator crew may be moving to Daily Radar, but it's cool to see Bungie be recognized in this way. A sort of indication of respect.
