Bounty over at Battleground: Halo has beaten some more information out of Bungie about players getting themselves five finger discounts on some prime pieces of Covenant transportation technology. Here's the skinny:
Tip of the hat to the Marathon Story Page and Halo.bungie.org, who spotted Utterer.com's little nocturnal foray into the offices of Bungie in search of a scoop on the upcoming blockbusters Oni and Halo.
Among the revelations they claim to have uncovered during their midnight strike was this tidbit about Oni:
What's so unique about Tribes 2? Well, vehicles, for one, according to this story at the MacGamer's Ledge that mentions new screenshots of Dynamix's sequel shooter at incite and Tribal War. mad.max of the Pax Nimbus pointed the item out to us.
While GameCritics.com has devoted a fair amount of space to their new Halo preview , they also had some choice comments about Bungie and its roots:
Mark Asher of GameCenter posted a What I Did at E3 article up that gives a respectably objective appraisal of Halo from E3.
Dave Georgeson of Dynamix made the following statement today in a thread at the Tribesplayers forums:
Warning: The Linux and Mac clients are going to be done AFTER we finish working on the PC version.This does NOT mean that there will not be Linux and Mac clients. We actually want to do them a lot. We *will* work on them.
However, the PC version is the most important version for us and if time pressure causes issues, then the PC version will get the most attention.
It was first reported by HBO that E3Awards.com has posted up its list of nominees from this year's expo. From what I see, it looks like Halo got a lot of love. Here are the categories it was nominated for, along with its competition:
A story at Maccentral.com reminded us about the presence of a Halo trailer at Apple's web site. But before you get your hopes up, though, it's the old MWNY trailer from 1999 and not the new E3 trailer, which should be available for download as well as on a CD from a major gaming magazine later this summer.
Adobe Riskbreaker pointed out in a post on the forum at Halo.bungie.org that EBWorld now has an entry for Halo.
