Five-hour HALO veteran The_Spoon has posted his thoughts on his experience at E3 with HALO and the XBox. This is a very long and in-depth writing that literally walks you through his experience of the first level. It starts off like this [edited for readability purposes]:
Looks like the authors of Penny Arcade were scribbling on cocktail napkins while at E3. This one takes aim at the Xbox controller.
Bungie Community Guy Matt Soell has showed up on the radar again, posting in our forum to let us know that THERE WILL BE MAC AND PC VERSIONS OF HALO, no matter how many posts you might see from malicious dolts who confirmed
Bravehamster was one of the lucky recipients of the Myth III board game given out to visitors of the Mumbo Jumbo trailer at E3. Fortunately for us, he took some pictures and shared them in the MWA forum:
Bravehamster said that it came with a six-sided dice, but no word of how it plays.
While this article only gives passing mention to Halo itself, The Gaming Intelligence Agency does talk a bit about the splash the Xbox made at E3-- to the effect that it wasn't as much as, say, Nintendo's GameCube. YMMV.
But the interesting part, aside from their comments on the Xbox controller, was their assertion that they saw an Xbox crash-- yes, crash-- during a demonstration.
Myk The Lame was fortunate enough to get a good look at Myth III during his visit to E3 and has come back with an interesting report to share. Yet another Myth fan who left wanting more; here's what he had to say:
