Well, at first we thought perhaps the Halo Updates had finally run out of steam, but as it turns out there was still enough for at least one more-- and a good one, at that. It's over at Haloplayers this week.
Besides including a note from Chris Butcher that crewmen in Halo 'fight better than BoBs'-- damning with faint praise if I ever heard it-- there are some other AI improvements as well:
Myrgard.com assimilated some new screenshots directly from Mumbo Jumbo themselves, as well as three new wallpapers. There are some revealing shots in there, so don't miss 'em.
Judging by the overhead map in this picture, we are going to be presented with many units at one time. Yipee!
Just saw on Blue's News that Xbox.ign.com has posted six Halo screenshots from the official XBox Magazine teaser publication, and unlike the versions of these shots that have appeared elsewhere, they aren't scans of reprints in Next-Gen or PC Gamer.
Go to IGN's Halo Preview and scroll down to Current Media and you'll see the shots there.
RHL regular ax pointed out that Voodoo Extreme also has some new Myth 3 material, in the form of a developer diary and some screenshots. Apparently multiplayer is now the focus of the developers' efforts:
R.net reader Cody wrote to alert us to a Myth 3 preview at pc.ign.com. Apparently the reviewer was quite taken with what MumboJumbo has done with the franchise so far:
A Reuters story on News.com is citing that Toysrus.com and its partner Amazon.com have apparently sold out of the $499 XBox bundles it began offering this Tuesday-- and only took 30 minutes to do so. No word on how many units were sold.
Oni Central has a contest in which three contestants will randomly be selected to win a copy of the Oni soundtrack. To enter the contest, all you have to do is send an e-mail to Oni Central; easy enough. You have until September 12 to enter.
The Gamer's Press has posted a review of Myth II: Green Berets, giving it an 8/10 score. There are some screenshots, too, so stop by and check it out.
