An Associated Press article at Yahoo News notes how U.S. Marines stationed in Iraq turn to videogames, including Halo and The Sims (there's a strange combination --Ed.) during lulls in fighting. Where's Halo 2? Quick, somebody make an emergency shipment of Halo 2 to Iraq!

Even I don't think it was that bad! It wasn't quite what I expected. Not quite a completely new game, not just new locations and assets; it didn't cover the events I expected it to. To be honest, the more I play it, the more I like it. I haven't gone back to Halo 1 yet; it'll be interesting to see what I think about both games after I do. ---- Rampant for over five years.

That may be an exaggeration. All I can say is that my friend and I spent 3 years dominating on Halo.. playing the same 8 or 9 levels OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and somehow we never got tired of it. Halo 2.. about a week or so and we decided it would be better for us to get the boat out and once again try our hand at fishing every weekend. (And to show you how bad of trouble we have to be in to do that: I've been fishing for around 11 years now, and just 4 days ago I caught my first trout that I could keep.) ---Wanted9867---

Well, think about it this way. You didn't go back to Halo 1, you decided to go fishing. Maybe 3 solid years of Halo is all anybody can stand, and if the games had been released in reverse order, you'd have had enough after 3 years of Halo 2 and wouldn't be playing Halo 1 as much.
