PrplPplEater dropped into our forum to let us know that the Mariusnet Myth metaserver (say that seven times fast) now supports the encrypted network traffic used by the PlayMyth server; as such, the EEL file is no longer needed, and the most recent versions of the Myth series clients are now supported on Mnet. You still need to make sure the Mariusnet plugin, and not the PlayMyth plugin, is in your plugins folder.
Doobie at Marius.net writes that due to some server issues, they've had to change IP addresses. Because of that, the EEL file for Myth 2 that you need in your Myth II folder for Marius.net connectivity to work under version 1.4.x no longer works, because the old IP address is hard-coded into it.
Randy "DuvalMagic" Pitchford of Gearbox says that lots of player-requested features are going to be in the next update, due out soon. Thanks to Scimitarex in the HBO forum.
We've updated our PC Halo Demo Mirror List, and given it a permanent place in our Files category.

Louis Wu at HBO points out that version 1.02 of the Halo Dedicated Server is available; but server administrators are warned not to install it yet, as the Halo client also needs a patch to work with this server version, and that patch isn't out yet.
OK, sue me for re-using the same bad joke inside of a week. There's an old adage about blood and a stone that applies to the results.
Anyway, there is a hotfix-- ahem, I mean, patch, for PC Halo that brings it up to version 1.01. There's no list of changes with it, and apparently the auto-updating feature of the game will also retrieve this patch.

[image:4040 left hspace=5 vspace=5 border=0]Attempting to move as quickly as possible to squash bugs in PC Halo, an unidentified Gearbox programmer accidentally moved faster than the speed of light, creating a wormhole in spacetime that caused time to run backwards. Brian posted an update in the HBO forum about the status of the Mythica archive he created, which became the gold standard in Halo movie archives in a relatively short period due to its fantastic performance. He writes:
