Word comes from Louis Wu at HBO that Halo has been mentioned several times in Gamespot's latest Gamespotting feature.

Among them is Joe Fielder, a fan of Marathon and Myth, who had this to say now that he's seen Halo:

I think that Microsoft's purchase of Bungie was one of the smartest moves that it's ever made in the games industry. [...] I think that this game could be the defining moment in the developer's career. [...] I didn't think that I was going to need to buy an Xbox at the system's launch next month, but after spending some serious time with Bungie's Halo, I realized that I absolutely have to get one the moment it's available.

And Fielder hasn't even tried cooperative play yet. Thanks to Mr. Temper who gave Louis the heads-up in HBO's forum.

Also worth noting is the poll on the front page of that Gamespotting feature-- which asks which was your favorite Bungie game. The choices include Marathon, Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity, Myth: TFL, Myth 2, and Oni. Looks like they left out Pathways Into Darkness, Abuse, Weekend Warrior, Minotaur, and, of course, Gnop.
