Shamelessly skimmed from the halo.bungie.org forum: a new website, Halo-Net, is poised to enter the Halo website scene. They're suggesting that it's going to be a pretty big launch... worth keeping an eye on.
Sigh, another webmaster fallen victim to the wankah who refuses to release www.halo.net... now if he was doing something with it, I wouldn't be quite so cranky about it... grumble...
But I didn't need to do a news post to tell you that... just taking advantage of the lull to fiddle with the updater (hence the post) and catch up on some work. Apologies in advance for any lost forum cookies...
Following up the previous news item, Banzif took the time to transcribe and send in the text of the PCGamer Halo preview, to appear in the October issue. It can be read in a nice, generic text file here:
Pardon any spelling mistakes or typoes. Now, we just need to get the October issue and see these new screenshots...
Banzif writes with this tantilizing information:
There is an article on pg 40 of the October issue of PC Gamer that is about Halo. It includes some new screen shots and more info on the setting of the game.
Is this issue out yet? I need to check the store... keep an eye out for this one, folks! This could even be the beginning of the Halo exclusives in the gaming magazines (glory!).
Kudos to Blackbeard and CalBear, who both pointed out an interesting article at Thresh's FiringSquad about NVIDIA's new GeForce256 accelerator. Mouth watering in its own right, the article is even more interesting for its inclusion of a section concerning Halo running on the GeForce256. Definitely worth checking out, even if there are no new images for us...
Obitus pointed out that Halo is now at 18% of the vote in the PC Paradox poll, and still climbing. I guess seeing the number one item makes new people check it out and instantly fall in love...
