bungie.com Online
After a few days of ISP induced absence, bungie.com is back up and running, along with halo.bungie.com and its two new screenshots. Good to have them back, and let's hope the inevitable vengence comes slowly and painfully.

Gothmog made an interesting post to the forum, pointing out a Gamespot UK preview of Command and Conquer: Renegade. The similarities between it and Halo are considerable, though opinion of the engine appears to be poorer. Regardless, it is a potential competitor for Halo, slated for release around the same time... one to keep an eye on.
Much Kudos to xzzy, who points out that Bungie is offering cleaned up versions of the Tank and Corridor screenshots at . However, some people (myself included) are still waiting for the DNS propagation, and can't access the site. For those lucky souls, xzzy has copied the screenshots to his own server, and they can be viewed here in the meantime:
Inside Mac Games has posted a cleaned up copy of the unusually popular Tank Screenshot... oh Bungie, what a wicked game you play with us, making us dangle on scanned and cleaned screenshots like fish on a many barbed hook... ;)
Looks like I posted too soon. As pointed out by Scooby Doo in the forum, Halocination has scored a screenshot from the recent nVidia conference that contains a previously unseen vehicle.
Alas, no conspiracies, or even major news today. Bungie's Nathan Bitner points out that the bungie.com's DNS troubles are simply ISP related in a forum post, and bungie.net tells the same story.
A number of people have pointed out that bungie.com is down, and speculation is running rampant. With the recent bungie.net overhaul, a similar update of the other Bungie sites doesn't seem too unlikely. Might this update come with other offerings?
Tuesday morning being a traditionally active time, it's not so far fetched... Bungie has a thing for being active while I'm away at work. ;)
Well, seven days till Marathon's Story is back, and I have to say I feel sorry for Hamish... he's going to have an awful load of email to wade through when he gets back. It'll be interesting to see what the Story page regulars make of the new letter, though.
