Halo needs your help! Seen first at HBO was an update on Halo's position in the Alloy Gaming poll. Currently Halo is hurting with 34% of the vote against Tribes 2's 53%. If you havent voted your preference then please do.
GameSpot has posted a quick little preview on Quake III: Team Arena. Perhaps the dark God of Deathmatch, Carmack, is trying to stay competitive with recent shifts toward teamplay-oriented games?
The crew at Haloplayers were the first to report that the UK PC Gamer site has posted up an online text version of the Halo preview in their June 2000 issue.
Kudos to SiliconDream, who pointed out an interesting forum post from Bungie's Matt Soell on halo.bungie.org's forum. A particularily interesting excerpt for you naysayers out there:

If you've been watching the Marathon's Story page and DEHc-3 Halo you're probably aware of some interesting connections between the author Iain M. Banks and the Halo storylines. Both sites have posted up new bits of information on these connections, DEHc-3's material on its front page and Marathon's Story on a topic focus area. If you're a frequent SF reader you should definitely take a look.

Kudos to Ironfist for pointing out in our forum that Salon.Com has an article that bemoans the lack of genuine innovation or a compelling narrative in so many of the games shown at E3. Of course they'd be both blind and deaf to have not known about Halo's big showing at E3, but their comments seemed a bit, well... off. Take a look:
