And let's have another moment of silence, for the forum has consumed yet another victim. In his last hours as an employee at Bungie, Nathan has announced who will replace him as Bungie's unofficial forum representitive: Matt Soell, Director of Customer Support.
The Core would like to extend its apologies to Matt for the time that perl script from hell is going to suck out of his day. That said, make him feel welcome, folks!
It is with some dismay that I report the passing on of Bungie's Nathan Bitner, who has posted word that he will soon be leaving Bungie to resume working towards a degree at the University of North Carolina (what did you think I meant?).
Kudos to Mach for pointing out a new Halo preview at Gamespot UK. Some new information, especially regarding character animations and the storyline, and a complete version of an old partial screenshot (though their gamma is unfortunately horrific). Definitely worth the click and load.

The article raves about the engine, which is standard for these previews, but doesn't offer a lot of new information. However, some interesting multiplayer goals are offered, further detailing Bungie's desire to promote team play and a vibrant online community. Definitely worth stopping by.
Completely off topic, but noteworthy nonetheless. Inside Mac Games is reporting that Half-Life for MacOS has been cancelled, abruptly and unexpectedly. The reasons center around cost concerns, which is understandable, but this is still a disappointment for Mac gamers, Half-Life being the excellent game that it is.
Still, it isn't like we have nothing to look forward to. Overshadowed by the bombshell report is an interesting note about Oni, which is more appealing with every outing. Win some, lose some, I guess...
Synox sends word of a new Halo site with a twist: it's in German. As far as I'm aware, Halo World is the only dedicated German Halo site, and it's looking pretty good.
While ich spreche kein deutsch, the site's design is very appealing, and as a whole it looks very well done. Definitely a valuable resource for German Halo fans who are getting sick of our obfusticated english language.
A site related question this week. Are you a forum monkey, or do you hate the things and never use them? Asking for the sake of curiosity, though I suspect the majority of people who read this site and others like that couldn't care less about our humble discussion boards.

Just a quick note, to tell you about a new Halo/Tribes article which I recieved recently. Incidently, Total Halo has been revamped and looks a lot better.
Sorry about the delay there. For some reason, Total Halo refused to load for me, though it seems to be working fine now (and much improved).
