Alien - Dark Tide Released
Strangelet left a message in our forum letting us know that the Alien - Dark Tide total conversion for Myth II has finally been completed. The project is a result of self-determination of this TMBM member and looks very promising. You can visit the official site to get some more information, or just head over to The Mill and download it.
Weekly HALO Update
Matt's HALO update is at HBO this week. Some highlights:
- If you've seen Saving Private Ryan and remember the way exploding shells would blast huge clouds of sand into the sky, Shiek has ensured you'll experience a pleasant sense of deja vu when playing Halo- We've got the first in-engine cutscene up and running, which showcases our facial emotion system quite nicely. Faces in Halo look and move much better than they ever did before.
IMG Previews Myth III
For the first time in a while, we are finally getting some new information about Myth III from the folks at Inside Mac Games. They sent Michael Yanovich to Mumbo Jumbo's headquarters in Irvine, CA to scoop some information on Myth III and he did so quite successfully. Along with tons of awesome information, he brought along some awesome screenshots, which give the first look at the Trow Iron Warrior.
GameSpot's Top Ten Best Looking Games
One of my favorite all-around game sites, GameSpot, has put together a top ten list of the best looking PC games of all time. Innovative titles such as Doom, 7th Guest and Homeworld are on the list and of course, Myth: The Fallen Lords has its place, too. GameSpot is right, gore never looked so good on a battlefield.
Weekly HALO Update
Here 'tis:
- The team is finally getting enough Xboxes to go around. No more sharing.- All the human combat dialog is recorded. Marty is going to Chicago next week to record some other parts with some of the voice actors we've used before.
- The Artist Formerly Known As The Mighty Chris Butcher And Now Known Simply As Chris Butcher delegated his title to Chucky. He also did a bunch of stuff for the Sin-O-MatiXXX team, making sure the communication system for AIs is in proper working order and working on the scripting tools.
Dead Glory's Poll On Community
Dead Glory has updated his site once again with the results of a recent poll he offered at dg.rules.it. Over 180 fans voiced their opinions on this Bungie poll, so read their responses if you're interested.
MWA Hotline
Myth III fansite MythWolfAge has setup its own Hotline server. It's been online for a day or so and can be accessed at hotline.mythwolfage.com.
Bungie.Org Glyphs Solved
Those of you who have been trying to solve the glyphs puzzle over at Bungie.org will finally be relieved, as it has finally been solved. Apparently, they say ARRIVAL ARCHIVE OUTLINE . They have setup a pretty extensive site over at arrival.bungie.org, which must be accessed using login ARCHIVE and password OUTLINE. Congratulations to all who contributed!
