By many accounts, several of the prominent bungie.org sites are back in their usual places, including halo.bungie.org, mill.bungie.org, and oni.bungie.org. Alas, it doesn't seem to have propogated to my DNS yet, so no nice domain names for me...
They're not quite ready to be thrown on the cart yet. David at Halo Central clears things up:
Halo Central would like to report that rumours of our deaths have been greatly exagerated. After a wee bout of the bubonic plague we're back at it. By it of course, I mean the news game. That's right, so pop on over to Halo Central again where we're back on track and ready to rock with all the news of the Halo world.
Nasty stuff, that bubonic plague...
Not much in the way of newsworthy material... bit of site news, who added what where, that sort of thing. With some luck, we might get something to gnaw on for the weekend, but no sign of anything yet.
As for the PC Paradox poll, Halo is now in a solid third place with 10.8% of the vote--way to sock it to 'em! Now, only a few hundred more votes till we've deposed Duke Nukem... you know what needs to be done.
And only a mere 0.6% behind Quake III! While Halo cannot yet be expected to overcome the sheer number of Duke Nukem Forever voters (who are likely anticipating Duke's oh-so-classy strippers in full 3D...), we can at least put Quake in it's place! Once and for all, go vote!
After a bit of pestering, Bungie's Nathan Bitner offered two interesting little Halo tidbits (quite possibly so I'd stop bugging him ;). The first comes after some discussion about terrain bump mapping:

As pointed out by several readers, www.bungie.net has recieved a serious overhaul. And as Cunbelin pointed out, it likely has implications for the future:
