With the new screenshots has come a fair deal of examination, and even a bit of study of older screenshots. I direct your attention to the exhibits:
Ahh, the marvels of Photoshop... enjoy! ;)
A number of people have pointed out a pair of provocative items in the PCGamer Halo preview, which state that Halo is around fifty percent complete and is due out in the Fall.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but don't count on it. Just remember: don't place too much weight on release dates, or you're likely to be disappointed.

The Townhall has a news item on a set of Halo desktop themes at CPHL created by Phillip Albanese. The thumbnail example on their front page features the third screenshot, but apparently in better detail... or is that just the scaling screwing with my eyes? Hmm, yet another overnight download...
StrobeShock, of the Darkside, sends word of a few new updates:
Well, the time has come for the funnies to meet the daily happenings. Check out our mainpage for your daily dose of the covenant's twisted view on the news.
Some interesting news bits there, and the poll topic rocks. Ram things!
Huge outpourings of love and devotion to Mark Mezzetta, who scanned in and sent me page 40 from the October issue of PCGamer, the fabled page containing two new screenshots and a new Halo preview. And while it was worth the one meg download, I've recompressed and sliced up the original scan for your downloading delight:
Yet more forum tweaks, to add a feature or two and repair damage done by prior feature addition attempts. Sorry about the stolen cookies... unintentional casualties of war.
