New b.net Poll
A new poll, regarding monitor resolutions, is up at bungie.net. A development related question perhaps? Hmm, I'm probably just missing the joke...

My bad, forgot to provide some links to Blake's writings. Songs of Experience was the first one I managed to find, and provides plenty of thought food, and Marathon's Story has provided another pair of very good links to additional works.
A substantial alteration to the news format, aimed at both coping with the low news influx and to make possible a news updater (hallelujah!). Should be both smaller and faster, too... feeling minimalist again.
MacOS Rumors had an interesting tidbit in their news today (nice of them to come back from vacation with such a generous offering), which Marathon's Story has also already delved into. According to MOSR, Bungie has been hinting at having Myth II, Oni, and even Blam demos ready to ship with MacOS X at MWSF in January 2000. As if we didn't have enough things to wait for.
Funny how news appears when you begin to learn to live without it. Marathon's Story has recieved a fifth (and brief) Cortana letter, and is already right down to the nitty gritty of analyzing it. Apparently, Cortana has a thing for William Blake... highly recommended reading for Blam groupies.
With the sudden threat of a fourth letter and an even greater backlog, I've buckled down and finished off our long delayed analysis of the first three Cortana letters.
Most of the points have already been explored, but it was worth going back over and drawing some definitive conclusions and looking at the letters as a set. Among them are such items as Cortana's relationship to Durandal, and less debated topics as her personality and gender (yes, I said her ... heh).
When it rains, it pours... I can't remember who said that, and I'm in too much of a rush to care (at least this didn't happen yesterday!).
Marathon's Story has posted a new letter from Cortana, a letter which sources suggest is indeed legitimate. And an interesting letter it is--they'll be dissecting it at Marathon's Story for a few weeks to come. Theories are, of course, welcomed on the forum here at at b.b.org, so don't sit idly by--get involved!
Another tidbit from Cunbelin... not Blam related, but that's par for the course so far.
Power of Seven, the person/group responsible for the Marathon 2 and Infinity theme songs, have released aforementioned themes for download in that wonderful MPEG-3 format that we all know and love. They may not top the charts, but they're something for every Marathon'ers collection, assuming you haven't ripped your own copies yet.
Kudos to Cunbelin, who tipped me off to this one. Mac Gamer's Ledge has posted an interview with Lorraine Reyes, Bungie's Art Director/Creative Director of Marketing and the person responsible for most of the nifty Oni art at Bungie's Oni site.
Just when you thought there was no news, it turns out there was... was, sigh...
Anyway, it turns out an item retracted on the Marathon's Story page was a bit more interesting than I'd initially suspected, and it's generated an interesting thread on the b.b.org forum.
