Impressive game design or pure coincidence? Xbox.com used NFL Fever 2002 to predict the outcome of Super Bowl XXXVI and the results were nothing short of frightening. TeamXbox writes:
Xbox.com should be rolling in it if they placed any bets based on their NFL Fever 2002 based prediction for the Superbowl. In one of the biggest upsets in Superbowl history, the New England Patriots upset the St. Louis Rams 20-17, as predicted by Xbox.com.The Super Bowl win was the first for the New England Patriots. The loss drops the Rams Super Bowl record to 1-2.
Just goes to show, that games really can reflect and recreate reality. And this is a testament to the programming of NFL Fever 2002 that the stats and attributes of the teams is dead on with the actual teams. Not only did Xbox.com predict the final score, they predicted that the last play of the game would decide the game. Very nice.

Dave's recovery is continuing to go well. He is very depressed and we are all very concerned about it. All of the messages of encourgement do so much to lift his spirits. He is making such wonderful gains everyday and we are so proud of him. He walked 75 feet with a walker yesterday!!!

Come one, frag all! Team Unpfhorgiven is pleased to announce the first ever Marathon: Resurrection internet tournament. This event will mark the first ever Marathon-related tournament held over the internet.
When and where do I sign up?
Entries will be taken starting from January 16th to the 29th. Tournament play will commence on February 6th. Games will be played on weekdays after 6PM PST.

You also get to go one-on-one with the winner of the internal development team tournament.
The team is working on coming up with a small token to reward the winner with. Perhaps having your face pasted on a BOB or the opportunity to record a new BOB quote. We will know before the tournament ends. For now, it's all in good fun.

This is just a short note to apologize for the rather prolonged period of inactivity here at Rampancy.net. With Acrappa away handling family matters, and myself on a three-week vacation and now just starting at a new job, time and manpower to pull the reins of the of the site back into control just hasn't materialized just yet.
With an eye to figuring out how to do that, now that Myth 3 and Halo have both shipped (in one form or another) I've updated the poll to ask our readers just exactly what Rampancy should focus on next. So give us a yell, let us know which which way the wind is blowing!
There has been an awful lot of talk about playing Xbox (and other console) titles on a VGA monitor. So, to save you the trouble I've rounded up at least three solutions which may please you... even if little Timmy may not be able to get his braces this month. Funny how these things have a way of adding up, idn't it? ;-)
Or.... some would say that you could just wait for the Mac/PC version to get VGA play. Maybe, but can they avoid being spoiled to death before that time? ;-)
