Thanks again to some great work by CyberBob of HaloWorld, we've been able to post a translation from the GameStar movie. It includes Marcus Lehto remarking on the jeep he created, and a description of how intensely detail-oriented Bungie is being while developing Halo.
A thanks goes to Johnny Law, who posted a message informing us of a new Tribes 2 movie at IncitePC's website. This one is more interesting than the one we reported on Monday, showing what appears to be a view of certain animations and actions within Dynamix's editors. The background audio probably confirms rumors that Mцtley Crьe is doing some of the music tracks for that game.
A thanks goes out to Xero for reporting a new Halo preview at Tech Extreme. The amateur preview includes no new information and is inaccurate in places. Most conspicuously, the author describes Halo's multiplayer game as more of an afterthought to the single-player game.
It always pays to pay attention. If you go to the Press Quotes area at Bungie's official Halo site, you'll note that they've added a front cover image from GameStar's current issue. Nothing as new as the ship shot, but it still looks cool.
Kudos to Georg Wedemeyer of Deutschland, who supplied HBO with a larger scan of the mysterious ship. There has been a bit of conjecture in the forum on what function it serves. A thanks to JoeDaMac for keeping us posted, too. =)
This almost has a certain X-files feel to it, making one wonder if perhaps Bungie's marketing director, Doug Zartman, has been studying the arcane arts behind Steve Jobs' distortion field. CyberBob of Halo World made an interesting observation on their news page.
Well, credit must go to Battleground: Halo for beating us to posting a scanned-in image from the current issue of Germany's GameStar magazine. CyberBob of Halo World had noted this image as well while translating the article with me, and we were hoping to hit you with a double-smack of German Halo information. Ah, well... Good job, guys!

If you're still having problems viewing the GameStar Halo movie in .ASF format, then I have a few suggestions. The first is that, if they are absolutely dying to see this footage right now, then both Mac and PC users should download the newest version of the Windows Media Player, installing it after uninstalling any previous versions. Second, it appears that there may be corrupt versions out there.
The movie which everyone is dying for has been made available for download at the German Halo Network site. If you have difficulty obtaining it there, BattleGround: Halo reports that they've already uploaded a copy of it to GameSpy's mega file-hosting site, FilePlanet. Doubtless it'll be all over the Internet by tomorrow. slep suxrz mb!
