That's right... TTI now owns about 80% of GOD. The Gathering of Developers, that is. GOD sought to help independent game developers by acting as a central publishing house, and have been a hot news item in the computer gaming world for some time because of it. However, between lower-than-projected sales, delays and long development cycles on the games they're publishing, they've been hurting financially.
GameSpot has posted a new interview with Oni Producer Hamilton Chu. Among other things, Chu talks about some of the challenges faced by the Oni team and reports that Oni will be a simultaneous release for PC, Mac and PlayStation 2. Oni fans will be waiting at least until PSX2 makes its landing here in North America.
After an unusually long run, which could only be attributed to the favorable positions of the moon and planets, the last poll has wrapped up, with just over 450 voters generally satisfied with the amount of information Bungie provides, with most wanting even more.
Further driving the point home, Bungie's Joseph Staten has posted more details on the authenticity of the new Gamecenter screenshots. In addition to this confirmation, he also gives some details on the origins of those shots:
Quite the storm of controversy raised by the screenshots unveiled yesterday by Gamecenter's Halo preview. Given the differences in these screenshots and older ones, many people were skeptical, believing them to be hoaxes. However, an unnamed source had this to say:
Looks like this is shaping up to be a grand night for news, eh? Flipping through the pages of Incite magazine's new June issue, I came to an article titled, Will the X-Box Kill PC Gaming? Incite's Joe Vallina goes on to quote representatives from some reputable developers, including id Software, LucasArts, Ritual Entertainment and Interplay. Bungie's own Doug Zartman was quoted second in the article:

As posted by Pfhor in the forum, ps2.ign.com is reporting even more rumors and speculation that Rockstar will be porting not only Oni to the PS2, but Halo as well. An excerpt:
Must visit alert! Big kudos go to SpacemanSpiff and Tsao, both of whom pointed out some radically new Halo screenshots at Gamecenter. Indeed, they are so different that one wonders if this is actually Halo we're looking at. Restyled marines and aliens feature in the screenshots, and the article is a must read too.
Matt has posted to the HBO forum on a couple of topics today. First of all, he let us know that we might later expect some beautiful new Halo footage to come from Bungie playing with nVidia's newly announced GeForce2GTS. He then promises more footage that may not be nVidia-related in the near future.
