GameSpot has posted a great interview with Scott Campbell of Mumbo Jumbo showing off many of the new features and concepts of Myth III. Most of you will probably go for the high-res MPG version, which is 70 MB, but it is available in other formats. Check out the Myth III index at GameSpot if you'd like links to stream or download Windows Media versions of the six minute feature.
The editors of xbox.ign.com have compiled a list of what was hot and was what not at E3. Jason put HALO as his second favorite game of the show, below Project Ego and above Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding. Brandon said that HALO was too choppy for his tastes, but it looked much stronger than [he] thought it would . No other editors mentioned HALO in their round-up.
The Myth II: Green Berets site has been updated with some screenshots, although we've all ready seen these on other sites. Nonetheless, it'd be a good place to keep an eye out for new stuff.
HBO found MSXBox's E3 HALO impressions. Overall positive, it's an honest report that doesn't avoid the downfalls.
Myth@Bungie.org spotted a new article by GameSpy on Myth III. It has some interesting information, including that of Myth III's multiplayer service. Nate Timperley writes:
Thanks go to Squash for finding that the Myth II: Green Berets site has been updated with two animations of its units. The two soldiers look like they're animated fairly well, which is good news to those who are anticipating the upcoming retail TC.
Since the start of E3, complaints of choppy framerates in Halo have been pouring in, with the attendant explanations about unfinished hardware, incomplete optimization, sound emulation, and whatnot.
Bravehamster hooked MWA up with some more pictures of the Myth Board Game he received at the Mumbo Jumbo trailer during E3. If you're curious of how the rules work, check out the manual images and you'll get an idea.
Well-known Myth historian Archer has created a nice page that details much of Myth's history. Titled The Total Codex, it features a chronology of Myth's world as well as a timeline. If you have any constructive criticism or spot any errors, let Archer know; he wants his site to be as accurate as possible.
