I like it.
Nice job - is it just me or is the E3-07 song a truncated version of One Final Effort from the Halo 3 OST?

In reply to: Re: Halo 3 E3-07 Sheet Music

actually yes, it starts out with the original chanting monk theme, but then switches to a variation of One Final Effort, there are also a few parts from Greatest Journey, which i hope to arrange soon, along with Released and This is Our Land

Do you ever get annoyed with the amount of times you have to post that link?

wow this is really good! bot how can i isolate the piano so its just the piano sheet music?

Mike Poe's picture

In reply to: Re: Halo 3 E3-07 Sheet Music

thanks, uhm i could isolate it for u, but because i wrote it as more of an orchestral thing, the piano part fits together with the rest of the music as a whole, but alone it may not sound very good. If u would like to play this song as a piano piece, check out Jonathan Churchill's transcription of "One Final Effort" which is also on the sheetmusic page. The E3 -07 trailer music was a variation of "One Final Effort" so the parts are almost identical, i hope that helps and if ud still like me to get u the piano part from my transcription, let me kno

hey thanks for directing me there i really like his too. but i was thinking it would be fun to jam with my band just to fool around n stuff. so your version would be better cause its not as much soloing. plus i like yours better lol. if you could that would be awesome. thanks regardlessly

wat kind of instruments are in ur band? i'm working on "Greatest Journey" right now, the song played during the final level of halo 3, but when im finished that, itd be no trouble for me at all to transcribe the E3-07 music with parts taylored to the specific instruments in ur band, and id be happy to do it, if ud like

In reply to: Re: Halo 3 E3-07 Sheet Music

wow man thats amazing! thats way above and beyond what i was expecting! um well im one of the 2 guitarists in the band but i love piano and fool around on it a bit. so i was thinking that the other guitarist would do like the Steve Via thing from the mjolnir mix in halo 2 but maybe not that extreme. just some distortion guitar. and your piano part as well as a bass line and drums. i could kinda pick out what instruments would be playing what by listening to your transcription. but really man you dont have to if you dont want to.

haha its no trouble at all, it might be a while b4 its done, cuz ive got a lot of work goin on this semester, but i could prob have it done at the latest by mid april or so. so the instruments u need are: piano, distortion guitar, bass guitar, and drum set?

In reply to: Re: Halo 3 E3-07 Sheet Music

if i get the chance i will rewrite this song as a concert band piece, i had wanted to anyway becuz after listening to it more i realized that there are more percussion parts that i had not heard b4. As for Mjolnir Mix, i just added that about 2 weeks ago, im not quite sure if the notes are all correct, but i like to think its pretty decent

Can you keep me posted if you do that? Because My band would like to do a similar thing although we would need a tuba in there as well if at all possible

I think it sounds ok. You only put on one piano note at a time, though, whereas in the real song, it's more full.

EDIT: What I'm trying to say is that the song should still be able to work if you remove all else but the piano.
