im sure u all have seen in level 343 guilty sparks not only a downed pelican, but also a downed dropship. i thought that the flood had just been released, so y would there be both dropships destroyed? and if it was that the flood got to them both, wasnt there 2 pelicans in the area? then what happened to the other one?
and another thing while im on the subject of 343 guilty sparks, the mad unsc marine who shoots at u, he says he played dead, but in keyes, cortana says that the flood r gathering bodies, and when u die in front of the flood, ur body gets swarmed and devoured. then how did that guy really get out of being mutated? and how can he be that delierious to think that the mc was really a flood?
im sure i sound stupid, but things dont really fit right

A few ideas.
If you are in the middle of a fire-fight and someone drops, you would likely leave them and go on to more dangerous targets. After the conclusion of the battle the Flood likely started to gather bodies but more than likely they missed a few here and there. Just lucky I guess.
As for the second downed dropship, there was in fact a battle being waged between the Covenant and the humans, so consider this a casualty of war.
Unfortunately the answers of enlightenment that you are looking for cannot be found in such minor details. What you should be looking for is a series of numeric messages throughout the game, such as three 7-foot tall pillars, etc. Good job noticing these details though.

I don't know, but there are a few diffrent potential reasons. Excluding, of course, Bungie telling the Flood to get lost.
2: Lots of people die, cutsceen starts, not many live guys around, cutsceen ends, more guys die. End result: dead guys.
3: Erm, I duuno. Sorry.

I was always a big fan of halo and xbox live. Ever since I heard of halo 2 I was really excited to play it since it was suppose to be the best game xbox ever made. The origninal due date of halo 2 was December 2003, the next one was March 2004, and now its September 2004. When Spemtember comes they'll move the date to some time in 2005. Plese anwser me; tell me when halo 2 is coming out. Bungie stated more than a year ago that Halo 2 would "not be out in 2003". They never said December. In February of this year they were more specific, saying "Fall 2004". That is all anybody knows at this point, even the developers.
If Bungie doesn't say it, it isn't true, and so far "Fall 2004" is the only thing Bungie has said.
