ie Magazine reports that immediately after the Xbox launch in Australia, Microsoft committed several acts of vandalism in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, hiring Spin Communications to do street sprays -- graffitti. Xbox logos were sprayed on several buildings without the permission of the local city councils; Microsoft faces a $300 fine for the removal of each. Thanks Xbox365.
Japanese consumers are paying as much as $645 to import Xboxes from North America according to CoreMagazine. The videogames were imported by a business dubbed 'Chaos Hall' and run by Messe Sanoh. Customers paid $63 for Dead Or Alive 3, despite being warned by Sanoh that the game would not be compatible with the Japanese market Xbox on its release in February of next year; nor would Japanese market games run in the imported Xbox.
CoreMagazine also reports that Sony will drop the Japanese market price of the PlayStation 2 to $240 at the end of November, claiming decreases in manufacturing costs. Thanks to ax on RHL who pointed this one out.
Lastly, there's a feature on the wars called Attack of the Fanboys , also at CoreMagazine.
