The votes have been counted! A number of popular gaming enthusiast sites had posted links to Bungie's question regarding whether people were interested in obtaining a copy of the E3 Halo movie on DVD. Here's a cut & paste from bungie.net:
Voters in our last poll sounded a resounding Yes! to a Halo DVD, with 75% willing to pay $5.95 or more for a movie we're planning on releasing for free on the web. Still while the prospects are looking good, and the potential of earning $634 billion dollars is most intriguing, we can't promise this DVD will happen. As always, I'll let you know as soon as I know.
Many Bungiefen have expressed great happiness (and growing anticipation) with Bungie's decision to post the new movie online sometime in the future. Bungie.net has popped up a new poll, asking what platform you game on. (Windows, Mac or Linux) Currently, MacOS users are weighing in at almost three times the size of the Windows and Linux population combined.
BoySinister deserves due credit for informing us of a new poll at GameDesign.Net. It asks, What game featured at E3 are you most interested in? and Halo is, of course, one of the options. Halo is currently receiving more than double the votes that WarCraft III is, but we can't expect for other gaming communities to keep sleeping. Also, HBO has already reported that Halo has not been doing so well in a new poll at MadOnion.com.
The plebiscite at 3D Action Planet Halo continues to maintain a lead but the voting at Alloy Gaming could use a kick from our community. Halo currently is receiving 39% of the vote against Tribes 2's 47%. Lastly, the poll at Well-Rounded Entertainment continues with Deus Ex holding a 1% lead over Halo. Get out to the polls and vote your preference!
