It's an old question came up on the forum a little while ago... what to call player groups in Halo. While there is no universally accepted term yet, Bungie webmonkey Yeroen had a few thoughts to offer on the debate. An except from his post:

As much as I'd like to have a name that fits Halo, all games will be supported on the bungie.net web page--having a different name for teams in each game makes for sloppy, confusing interface. Heck, sometimes I even have an urge to change orders to teams to make it clearer for new players.

A perspective not many of us have seen the problem from. Whatever Bungie eventually does decide to use will likely be worked into the Halo interface, but that hasn't kept us webmasters from clamoring for a name to evangelize. While we don't yet have one, it's good to see that the matter is under consideration.
