Halo 3 players XxFLAWxLESSxX, Rockout514, and lxjarh34dxl recreated the very first ever Halo screenshot using the Halo 3 engine. Lukems posted it up at Bungie.net, along with the old shot for comparison.

Man, that looks pretty tight, and it always makes me kinda sad when I see that big ol' minigun. They should have kept it in the first one, dangit. The warthog looks like sh** though. :)

It's just a bad angle. In the '99 vid the Warthog looked pretty good, really, and the Ghosts were nearly final.

Some of us spent days arguing about whether or not you could see a face in the visor of the Spartan manning the Warthog's gun.

Looking at it closer when you said that, I could see where the argument could lead in that too. I see something forming, but Not a really exact visual.
