The Master Chief and Cortana, accompanied by a group of marines manning a Warthog jeep, approach a crashed lifeboat from the Pillar of Autumn.

Cortana: I've picked up reports that the Covenant have located and secured the Pillar of Autumn's crash site. The Captain is still alive, but the Covenant have captured our entire supply of Halos Brand breakfast cereal. Let's hurry and find the other survivors so we can recapture it.

Marine: There are weapons and supplies, Chief. But no cereal. And no bodies.

Cortana: Nothing does a body good more than a complete nutritious breakfast, soldier. And cereal is a part of that. Without cereal...

Another group of marines, led by a sergeant, approach the Warthog.

Sergeant: It's a mess, sir. Every marine in this valley had to evac this morning before chow time. Before you showed up, I thought we were going to have to cook for ourselves.

Cortana: I've found the ship's supply of breakfast cereal. It's being held on a Covenant cruiser I disabled.

A Pelican drop ship flies in to pick up the Chief and the marines.

Cortana: There's our ride, let's get out of here.

Marine: Wonder what they do with the bodies...
