There are three Oni reviews up at GamePen (score: 3/5), Mac Gamer (score: 4/5), and MPOG (score: 4.5/5). GamePen gives appreciation to Oni's attention to detail with audio, describing the joy of getting a more realistic experience when cracking opponents' necks, but picks on the lack of gamepad support and trashes Oni's AI.

Oni is now available in stores! Well, not the Bungie Store just yet... grr...

Coinciding with its release, two more Oni reviews have been published. Games@MacNN gives a positive review, stating that Oni continues Bungie's knack for making ground-breaking games.

Oni received a decent review from InsideMacGames. Of course, the major gripe was the absence of multiplayer -- nothing new here.

Tobias and paw of OniShots have released the first editor for Oni. The Oni Save Game Editor will allow you to edit which level you're on, which save point you're at, which weapon you're holding, how much ammo you're carrying, and more. OSGE is available for Mac and PC and can be downloaded OSGE from OniShots.

Also first posted by the B.Org, Marty Odonnell's MP3.Com page now includes a couple of new Oni MP3s, titled Oni Anime and Oni Farewell. The page also offers music that Total Audio did for the Myst and Myth series of games.

As first posted about at OBO, there are some new reviews up at Action Trip, PC Gamer UK and Daily Radar UK. Additionally, there are reviews at both GameSpy and MacGameNews.

Daily Radar has put up its PC Oni review, stating that it's one of the most fun, poorly designed games we've ever played and Oni could have seriously benefited from a few more texture artists and at least one competent level designer. It also complains about the absence of multiplayer and the delay of Oni's release. There's plenty of praise though, from the smoothness of the game to the great special moves.

Although the official release date for Oni is January 29, it appears that a number of stores across the world are selling it early. Game publishers highly discourage this against retail chains, but they still do it anyway. Steve Campbell claims that Oni is available and the MidWest Oklahoma area and OBO has received reports that Scotland and England are selling copies as well.
