On Sunday I reported about a clipping from PC Gamer's May issue. PCG made some statements about the delays that Oni has experienced while in development. After a bit of discussion by the fans, Matt Soell had something to say in our forum. Here's a short blurb from that post:
R@ge of Halo Center asked for us to let you know about a new skin review site they're hosting called Skin Surge. He also passed on that Recoil, Skin Surge's admin, is looking for people to do reviews and to help code the site.
Believe nothing that you read. Cutting short our investigation the recent leaked Beta rumors, Bungie's Matt Soell offered this response to one of our emails:

The webmasters you thought you knew. fAt1 of Total Halo sends word that the first in a series of interview specials has been posted, asking a number of webmasters from this little community of ours to sum up Halo in one sentence. Over the next few days, more questions will be posted, and it should be interesting to see what the answers were.
Well, in testing a new script, I accidentally overwrote the previous poll with test data (kudos to anyone who saw it and can tell me what they think of my spelling), so I hustled and put up a new poll for your button clicking pleasure. Thanks to the 450 some odd posters who chipped in last week--that's almost a new record!
While this should be treated with the greatest in skepticism, rumors of a leaked Halo beta have crept onto Accelerate Your Mac's 3Dfx Discussion forum. Allegedly weighing in at 67megs, this beta-demo could have some heads rolling if it's really what it claims to be.
Be wary of 67meg text files named Halo Preview.img folks...
Thanks again to some great work by CyberBob of HaloWorld, we've been able to post a translation from the GameStar movie. It includes Marcus Lehto remarking on the jeep he created, and a description of how intensely detail-oriented Bungie is being while developing Halo.
A thanks goes to Johnny Law, who posted a message informing us of a new Tribes 2 movie at IncitePC's website. This one is more interesting than the one we reported on Monday, showing what appears to be a view of certain animations and actions within Dynamix's editors. The background audio probably confirms rumors that Mцtley Crьe is doing some of the music tracks for that game.
