I know that the money to run this site has to come from somewhere and I do not have any problem with the adds along the side of the page, but how exactly is "Defect and Microstructure Analysis by Diffraction (International Union of Crystallography Monographs on Crystallography, 10)" related to Halo? I have seen other books such as one about moding an xbox and that makes perfect sense, but who gets to decide what products are advertized? To whoever it is, "Defect and Microstructure Analysis..."
has absolutely NOTHING to do with halo, except that one of the people who wrote the book is named Hans J. Bunge (1 letter away from Bungie), or unless you are trying to design a working reflective coating for REAL real MC armor (not the $3000 nightmare armor), but thats a different story. Anyway, I am sure there is noone to blame or nothing that can be done, but it does seem just a little bit odd to advertize a book about "Defect and Microstructure Analysis by Diffraction" on a bungie fansite, let alone one that costs $219. sheesh.

The systems that place the Ads (Google AdWords) as well as the "related items from Amazon" both run automatically, by comparing the content of the page you're viewing with either Google's stable of ad clients or the Amazon catalog.
Of course, depending on what page you're on and what the news is that day, these may or may not be entirely relevant. For instance, it often brings up books on Christianity because of the use of "Halo". Of course I don't actually expect anyone to buy those kinds of items, but it is interesting sometimes to see the kind of stuff it brings up :-)

Master cheifs face
well I have a good idea of what john 117's face looks like. People think if they make a halo movie that it would just be racis to put just a white guy as the MC. but i think they will use the book fall of reach since it give a description of what he looks like. he is white though and i can not put a black guys face to the voice in the game.
