i've just been looking at the E3 demo, and one of the coolest bits is were the MC kicks a brute out of a ghost. I was thing if the MC could kick a covie out of a ghost then maybe he could pull a covie out of wraith, so you could drive the wraith

I agree, that is a pretty cool bit :)

There have been quite a few changes made to Halo's vehicles in the porting to PC-- flyable Banshees in multiplayer, etc. And the promise was that Halo 2 would have twice the number of drivable vehicles than Halo 1.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that Wraiths would be drivable in the sequel, but I don't remember the precise source.

that would make things to easy tho, if you could pull a covie out of any vehical - sure it would be cool, but it's pretty easy to get close to a wraith. what's the fun in that?

Well, some players I know already like to attack the Wraith on foot, jump on top of it, and kill it with a pistol :)

But I think that at Legendary, approaching the Wraith is hard enough that rewarding a player with being able to remove the pilot is pretty fair :)

maybe in halo 2 you can only drive the wraith in legendary, but that would be kind of unfare to people that arent that good at the game, or people that haven't played halo 1

well if you look @ it that way... then it is "unfair" for anybody @ all to play against somebody better. to bad if you haven't played the original Halo, go out and rent it, buy it, borrow it, whatever! there is no excuse!

on another note, it would be interesting if they limited specific features to the harder difficulties... or maybe the otherway around as another difficulty factor. hmmmm....

They usually don't do that-- but there's a first time for everything.

As for Halo 1 and Halo 2-- I'm sure they'll make it so the game can be enjoyed by those who haven't played the first one-- although to understand the story (which I'm sure is going to become a lot more complicated) it may be necessary to play (or even re-play) the first one.

That having been said, since it'll be out for the PC very soon, even the Xbox-haters won't have an excuse not to play :)

yeah, maybe. but usually for sequels like this they make the story somewhat understandable so that you didn't have to play the last game. but if u have, then EVERYTHING clicks, not just some stuff. but we'll see.

concerning the PC version: i'm getting a lotta abuse from my friends about Halo comming out for the PC. i live in a town of PS2 Junkies and Nintendo Obsessors. it's pitiful. one of my neighbors likes the xbox as i do, and is over @ my house playin' halo w/ me all the time, but otherwise.... everybody else likes, it they just won't admit it. and i highly doubt they won't all go buy it when it does come out for the pc.

Right... and Bungie tends not to do that sort of thing in their games anyway. Note, for instance, all the rumors about "unlocking weapons" and such (which other games do have). The only bonus that those who beat the game on Legendary got was bragging rights and the special cutscene... I'm inclined to think Halo 2 will be the same-- either the Wraith will be driveable or not, the difficulty won't affect it.

All I meant was, is that if being able to punch out the driver of a Wraith makes the game too easy.. then turn up the difficulty :)
