This is my String Orchestra arrangement of "Unforgotten" from the Halo 2 Vol. 2 CD.
This piece was originally transcribed by chrischang127, who did an excellent job with the transcription.
The ZIP file contains PDF files for: Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello and Double Bass, as well as a conductor's score. The ZIP file also contains a MIDI of the entire piece.
Thanks, and Enjoy,
Kyle (someone_new)

Re: Unforgotten For String Orchestra
Do you have the .MUS file for it??
You made a great job on it but your midi is a little too fast.
If you have the .mus file I could get the speed of the midi slower.
And congratulation for your good tonality because some of the scores we find out here are good but are transposed... and I don't like this.

Re: Unforgotten For String Orchestra
In reply to: Re: Unforgotten For String OrchestraThe notes are correct, but isn't the song in 3/4, not 4/4? That might fix the timing issues, as the song (as transcribed) feels rushed.
Nice job, though.

Hey Crascal. It's probably because you're not verified (hints the words "not verified" by your name on your comment hehe) When you made your account, It should have said something like "Some things on this site will be blocked to you until you verify your account" and it should have also said it sent you an e-mail. If you didn't delete that e-mail, you need to open it up and go to the address. Then you're all set. :)

Unforgotten - Key Signature
Hey, I think that you did a great job transcribing, etc... BUT, most string players don't play in the flats. We like D major and other keys with sharps. So does anyone know any good sites that'll change the key? Cause I don't a single person - other than band kids, that is - that can read A flat.
Plus, would it work to have a cello play the part of the bass?

Re: Unforgotten - Key Signature
In reply to: Unforgotten - Key SignatureIt doesn't look too bad for string instruments. Probably would be a good learning experience trying to play it. The other thing is that playing it in D major will make it sound quite bright, in contrast to the much darker tone you'd get by playing it in A flat.
If you really want to transpose it, change it into A major first, by chaning the key signature to three sharps and replacing any flat accidentals with naturals and any natural accidentals with sharps. Then if you want it in D transpose everything down by a perfect fifth or up by a perfect fourth. For G obviously transpose it down by a major second.
