O.k, So by now It's pretty obvious that Microsoft's new toy, The X-box 360, has plans that have just been unveiled. But the question I'd like to put forward is, If Halo 3 should come out after the 360 became available for perchase, would you buy the software AND console JUST so you could play Halo 3, or do wait for your cash reserves to build up.
To be honest, I wasn't that Impressed with the Press tour, The playstation 3 now has more advanced graphics than the 360 but a lower processor speed. Wannado or Wannaget, I think it matters to most people and fans of the Halo saga.

Specs and desires
Unless a company completely drops the ball and leaves out certain must-have features or produces a severely underpowered machine, I don't think technical specs mean much any more.
In the past years, we've seen whiz-bang machines, both computers and consoles, go the way of the dodo while the market is dominated by inferior and in some cases more expensive hardware. The industry as a whole moves forward, the pictures get prettier and prettier, so as usual, it's all about the games.
I bought an Xbox for Halo. I now own, play, and enjoy other games-- but Halo got me in the door. Now it's up to Microsoft to keep me. Halo 3 is the easiest, if not the only, way to do that.
If there is no more specific mention of Halo 3 between now and the new box's launch day, I'll be hard pressed to justify getting the new machine at that time. And while I am probably not a risk for jumping ship to Sony in the meantime, there are plenty of other gamers that are.
Every day between the launch of the 360 and the release of Halo 3 is one day Sony has to convince them to buy a PlayStation 3 instead.
Microsoft won't want to give them too many days.
