In the last two days, Yeroen (aka Max Hoberman) of Bungie has posted a couple items on the status of Bungie.Net (the game server) and Bungie.Net. (the web server) First of all, some of the problems with the gaming servers have been corrected, but the Myth TFL gaming server is currently down for the count.
The Myth: The Fallen Lords Bungie.net server is down with a nasty flu. We're doing our best to get it back up and running, but it's looking pretty grim. We'd have a legion of web-server-surgeons hovering over it's cold metal shell prescribing drugs out the wazoo, but they all went on vacation and didn't leave contact info. Hang in there, we'll figure it out, hopefully in time for the holidays. In the meantime please refrain from sending us nasty email letters, we've got a backlog of nasty letters a month deep ;-)
Second, Max reports that they've been able to clear up some of the issues related to the community website. (possibly with Candyman's help?) The entire item is much too long to list here, but some of you might find this one item interesting:
...As far as the games go, there are recent problems with Myth II on Windows 2000 and ME. We'll do what we can to help figure out workarounds whenever possible, but unfortunately we're not in a position to release new patches for a game we no longer own or support. I'll try to dig up some more info on this so you won't be left out in the cold. Hang in there...
Aside from that, the poll area is working again. Bungie asks, Do you use wireless Internet access? Now why would they want to know about that...?
