Even with the restoration of plans to produce a version of Halo for the Macintosh as well as for Windows PCs and Microsoft's forthcoming X-Box gaming console, it seems as if Bungie will no longer be exhibiting at MacWorld conferences.
Bungie did not exhibit officially at MWNY in 2000, although Alex Seropian did take advantage of the opportunity to reconfirm Halo for the Mac during Steve Jobs' keynote address, quieting some ofthe fears of many of Bungie's Macintosh-using fans. There was a FanFest in New York later that week, however.
With Halo for the Mac back on track, some wondered if Bungie might once again be making official appearances at MacWorld. Apparently, it appears this isn't so.
Matt Soell posted on the HBO message board the following short note:
We're not going to have a booth at MacWorld SF this year, but right now we're trying to land a space where we can hold a fanfest.
Now that I've set the Rampancy record for the longest set-up for the shortest quotation, I'll sit back on my laurels and wait for the FanFest.
