The only review we have yet to report for Oni today is at Tech Extreme, and while it doesn't give a set score, the overall feeling one gets is that Oni is a digitized POS:

In the end, Oni is nothing more than a mindless action romp through stark locales beating the stuffing out of people. The story does nothing to involve the player in the action, and the formula is so repetitive and boring that you will have a hard time justifying dedication of your time to reach the game’s end. Oni could have been much more than what Bungie finally released, and while it might provide some hours of fun, the game is definitely not ‘must-buy’ material.

There are always going to be different perspectives upon any title... though I was a bit curious from the screen shots (which were somewhat older, including blood and the Iron Demon) whether they didn't want to take the time to grab some shots themselves or if they possibly might not have actually played the game. Most likely the former. Either way, this implies a certain laziness on their parts. While there is some truth to many of the complaints made, at least in cross-comparison with other reviews as I'm waiting for my copy to arrive, this is the most negative review I have read for Oni yet.
