Today Max posted a response to Bungie.Net regarding some issues that the Myth games have been having with Windows 2000:
No, we will not be making a patch. Though we support the Myth games on Bungie.net, we no longer own the rights to the Myth franchise. This means we're in no position to release patches to address technical issues. This obviously isn't the answer you'd like to hear, and it isn't exactly the one we like to give. However, the hard fact is that Take2 is now responsible for the Myth series, including any possible updates. We're working on a solution that will take some of the technical support burden off their shoulders (just because we like you). When we launch this we'll include contact info for Take2 so you can voice your concerns.
Things are shifting a bit, so hold on to your hats. However I'm sure that, given the rumorage that has been going around about Myth III, Take Two will likely feel it to be in their best interests to maintain a healthy Myth community.
This matter also has implications for some of the possibilities being discussed in the FutureMyth forum. Some of our members have been wondering how much the Phoenix project could possibly relate to the Myth universe, at least as far as the storyline is concerned. Likely not much, as the rights to develop anything related to Myth (including merchandise?) have likely been transferred to Take Two. Imagine as if a famous author had signed away the rights to a popular series of books. But don't get your hopes down yet! After all, we've still got Bungie at the helm for Phoenix, right? ;-)
