Halo didn't win any specific E3 awards at PC GameWorld but it did pick up a special mention in a listing of noteworthy titles:
Halo moved from last year's closed door screening to a public screening for this year's show. Bungie ran a DVD-based scripted demo that was rendered in the game itself - no cut-scenes. Our first reaction was WOW!! This game is by -far the best attempt that has been made to bridging the gap between movies and interactive gaming. It simply felt like you were dropped into a science-fiction movie. The graphics, sound and action elements were just unbelievable. We usually don't get this excited about non-playable demos but this is no ordinary game. A playable version of this game would be enough justification alone, to pack your bags for next year's E3 -- it's that good!
They also have a new sneak peek article that pretty much recycles their preview from last July. It's possible that Halo again missed out in the awards because it wasn't playable at the expo, but it's still great to see Halo get some recognition.
