PG-13 Alert. Kudos to Bulls for pointing out this Halo Quickie at 3DGN, which is essentially a glowing review with a healthy dose of wit. And gratuitous lingerie. An excerpt:
In case you hadn't guessed yet, Halo is nowhere near being done. In fact, it's so not near being done that they don't even have a current build of the game, it seems. Apparently the versions shown at E3 and MacWorld were simply temporary demonstrations thrown together for the benefit of the press, and the code is being rebuilt from scratch as you read this very article. Given that these temporary builds had writers at all the gaming sites and magazines falling all over themselves to proclaim Halo as a game sure to revolutionize the industry, it's safe to say that it will look good when it's done.
Nothing new in the information department, and the author is clearly as uncertain about the game as we are. Kinda refreshing, given that many reviewers load up on BS to fill in the gaps. Enthusiasm tempered with uncertainty... certainly worth the read.
